Meet Our Co-ordinator
Hi, My name is Tamzin Jones!
I moved to Wiveliscombe, with my parents and brother, over 40 years ago. Hospitality had been my trade since I qualified as a chef all those years ago.
But then Covid struck, and it was time to re-evaluate things. It was time to change direction. I was still wanting to continue to make sure “everyone was okay and happy with their service”. This is when Wivey Cares appeared in front of me, and so I started to transfer my skills across to a different clientele. I became a Micro-provider, helping some incredible individuals who were an absolute joy to serve. The idea of helping local people, whom I had grown up seeing in the streets as I walked to school, or had served in the local cafe and pubs as I got older, just seemed too good an opportunity to pass up. And so my journey into the Health and Social Care world began.
Flash forward a couple of years and the Co-ordinator position became open due to the retirement of the wonderful lady who had held the baton for 4 years. For me this was my next giant leap. And I wouldn’t swap it for the world. Is it stressful, is it busy, is it overwhelming at times?…YES.
But the rewards far outweigh any of that. To see a smile across the faces of individuals who have reached out for help and we’ve secured them a micro-provider who is going to help them live at home for as long as possible is amazing. To know that families have peace of mind knowing someone local is keeping an eye on their older generations when they can’t be near is equally as rewarding too.
So that’s me, always ready to assist you and make sure you get the best service.
